Nantucket Race Week
Results from day one of Nantucket Race Week, a day of various one-design races held Saturday, August 11. Only one race was sailed:

PHOTO BY JILL SANDOLE The island's Rainbow Fleet gets underway during the first day of Race Week. The Rainbows will round Brant Point at 10 a.m. this Sunday to kickoff the Opera House Cup Regatta.

Rainbows: Tobey Smiles, first place; Stephen Mead, second; Whitney Dow, third.

Alerions: McKerrow, first place; Bruce Failing second; Mark Pagon, third.

Indians: West Riggs, first place; Emery Poor, second; Pascal Antonietti, third.

Rhodes 19: Skip Willauer, first place; Brooks Smith, second; John Marks, third.

Marshall Cats: Stephen Caulfield, first place; Garry Hoyt, second; John Beale, third.

Sunday's scheduled IOD race was cancelled.

Scheduled races for tomorrow include 12-metre racing and the IOD pro-am. The IOD pro-am will also take place Friday.
