Avery Bonita Bell was born at Nantucket Cottage Hospital on July 25, 2007 weighing 7 pounds and 1 ounce. She is the daughter of Dominic and Shannon Bell of Nantucket. Her grandparents are George and Maeve Harrington of Nantucket, Allan Bell and the late Bonnie Bell of Nantucket and Marilyn Hughes of Dennis, Mass. Her great-grandparents are Marilyn and Michael McDonough of Nantucket and Fannie Bell of North Carolina.

Julius John Martin was born at Nantucket Cottage Hospital on July 17, 2007 weighing 8 pounds and 3 ounces. He is the son of Bethany and Manuel Martin and brother of Avery Martin of Nantucket. His grandparent is Fran Thibault of Alstead, N.H.

Nora Felicity Sullivan was born at Nantucket Cottage Hospital on June 28, 2007 weighing 8 pounds and 4 ounces. She is the daughter of Jason and Elizabeth (Mullally) Sullivan and sister of Aidan Sullivan of Nantucket. Her grandparents are Kathy and Neville Richen of Nantucket and Richard and Nora Mullally of Waterford, Ireland. Her greatgrandparents are Raymond and Ruth Witt of Weymouth, Mass.

Julia Grace Wayland, daughter of Patrick and Sarah Wayland, of Rowayton, Conn. was born on July 18. Her grandparents are Sue Williamson of Sydney, Australia, Brad Stackhouse of Greenwich, Conn., David Wayland of Avon, Conn., and Rev. Georgia Ann Snell of Nantucket. Her great grandparents are Lorraine Snell of Falls Church, Va. and Nantucket; and Joan and George Williamson of Umina, Australia.

Christian F. Fleming of Nantucket, Mass., was named to the dean's list at Bates College as a result of his scholastic standing during the second semester of 2006-07 academic year. To qualify for the dean's list at Bates, as student must maintain a better than "B+" average for the semester, for a minimum quality point ratio of 3.66. Fleming, a junior economics major, is the son of Donna Wiley, 68 Union St., and Bradford Fleming, 232 Madaket Road. He studied Chinese language, culture and economics with the 2006 Bates Fall Semester Abroad in Nanjing Program.
