"Fatal Forecast"
by Michael J. Tougias
On November 21, 1980 a colossal storm was brewing, the only weather buoy on Georges Bank, the bountiful but perilous fishing ground 130 miles off Cape Cod, was malfunctioning, and the National Weather Service had failed to share this fact with the Cape Cod fishermen who depend on its forecast. This is the set-up for "Fatal Forecast" by Michael J. Tougias , a meticulously researched and vividly told true story, which is by turns tragic, thrilling and inspiring. A must read for all sea story enthusiasts.

"Zodiac"
In 1968, the legendary serial killer known as the Zodiac struck fear in the residents of the Bay area and haunted the four men who became obsessed with his capture. Based on a true story, the Zodiac taunted his pursuers with letters that were written in a secret code and sent to local newspapers, challenging authorities to catch him before he killed again. What makes this film so good is that even without closure, the story makes a finite point about how not having an answer can define a person's life.
