Monday sessions in Nantucket's District Court will be relatively brief through the summer and will primarily deal with arraignments, cases scheduled to be closed after a period of continuance or cases on the docket for some form of status review. Pre-trial conferences will be held on Wednesdays.

In the July 16 session, Sandra Araujo-Beirute, 47, of 4 Luff Road, charged July 14 with assault and battery, had her case continued to July 23.

Liam M. Bryne, 26, of 30 Macy Lane, charged July 12 with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving outside lanes, had his case continued to Aug. 15.

Mark A. Dwyer, 19, of 14S Larrabee Lane, charged July 14 with disorderly conduct, will have the charge dismissed with $200 court costs.

Gary Gomez, 26, of 3 Cartwright Place, charged July 14 with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving outside lanes, had his case continued to Aug. 1.

Walter M. Hawkins, 51, of 22 Arkansas Ave., charged July 14 with driving under the influence of alcohol, failing to wear a seat belt and possessing an open container of alcohol in a vehicle, had his case continued to Aug. 22.

David B. Manning, 57, of 6 Henderson Drive, charged Feb. 6 with leaving the scene of property damage, paid due costs and had his case dismissed.

Jeremy T. Nelson, 34, of Nantucket, charged Nov. 12, 2006 with leaving the scene of property damage, had his case continued to Aug. 1 for a payment review.

Edvaldo Goncalves-Nunes, 24, of 6 West Creek Road, had a July 15 charge of driving without a license dismissed and was found responsible for driving an unregistered vehicle and failing to wear a seat belt.

Cody H. Peterson, 22, of 2 Benjamin Drive, charged Nov. 21, 2005 with drug possession and on Dec. 17, 2005 with drug possession, paid due costs and had his cases dismissed.

Alexander Rives, 19, of 19 York St., charged Aug. 29, 2006 with drug possession, had the charge dismissed.

Arthur D. Souza, 47, of Nantucket, charged July 13 with disorderly conduct and trespassing, had his case continued to Aug. 15.

Courtney A. Stock, 20, of Newton, Mass., charged July 15 with driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of property damage and drug possession, had her case continued to Aug. 1.
