REEL TO REEL
NOW PLAYING ON NANTUCKET
"Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix"

(Rated PG-13 for sequences of fantasy violence and

frightening images; 138 min.)

Harry begins his fifth year at Hogwarts as a bit of an outcast, as the warnings he and Dumbledore sound about the return of Voldemort are dismissed as lunacy. At least the cute Cho Chang is a pleasant distraction for Harry as the Ministry of Defense appoints a new Dark Arts teacher to influence the thinking at Hogwarts away from the side of Harry and Dumbledore - causing Harry and his friends to form their own magic cabal. Wed. - Thurs. 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

Fri. and Sat. 5 p.m., 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

"Live Free or Die Hard"

(Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence and

action, language and a brief sexual situation; 130 min.)

Bruce Willis reprises his role as officer John McClane to combat a system of cyber-terrorists out to paralyze the U.S. by shutting down its financial systems. Sun. 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

"Transformers"

(Rated PG-13; 144 min.)

This summer, the classic '80s story of robotic civil war gets a live-action facelift that drips awesome from every pore. "Transformers" is the story of two groups of giant robots racing to get their hands on the key to their civilization - with the future of Earth hanging in the balance, of course.

Starting with the introduction of the main human character Sam (played by Shia LaBoeuf), the movie bombards the audience with unexpected moments of successful humor. The transformers themselves have great personalities for giant robots: Megatron is a genuinely frightening villain, and Optimus Prime is the very image of a hero. The plot moves along very nicely and is full of intense action sequences. The robot-onrobot action and the mid-action morphing sequences not only look fantastic, they are perfectly choreographed and you can really feel the massive weight of the transformers as they throw each other around.

To make a long story short, everything is entertaining about "Transformers," and you don't even have to be a nerd to enjoy it.
