Nantucket baseball juniors sweep Barnstable
Nantucket's Junior League baseball team played three games at home Saturday against Barnstable and took all three with complete game victories.

Michael Molta struck out six and allowed just four hits in helping to turn back the Barnstable Red team in the first game, 16-4. Taylor Hughes struck out eight as Nantucket prevailed 7-4 over Barnstable White in the second game and Nick Lombardi struck out 9 in a 9-3 island win over Barnstable Blue.
Molta also contributed with 10 hits in 12 at bats on the afternoon, including a home run, three doubles and six runs batted in. Jake Molloy had seven hits in 11 at bats, with three doubles, three triples, a homer and six runs batted in.
The Nantucket Junior League, featuring players who are 13 and 14 years old, travels to Barnstable Saturday for more tournament action
