Precedes "The Ten"
Atrio of hapless flies witnesses the curious activities of travelers on the interstate. … I wanted to make a comedy and also wanted to make a narrative film, since I've been making documentaries for 20 years. I wanted to try my hand at it to see if I could do what I wanted to do. I wanted to work with computer animation, work with a composer to have a score front-to-back, work with high-definition technology and network with my really talented friends. We closed down an interstate, hired cops. … It was an ambitious project. It was a test. I challenged myself. What does being included in the

festival mean to you?

I worked on a feature film named "Garbage" that screened at the first Nantucket Film Festival. I met a lot of cool people and had a really good time. I loved it. It was the start of a new career for me. It's good to be back.

What do you hope to get out

of its screening?

It's the world premiere, so I want to get a sense of whether it's working. If people who see it want to strike up a working relationship that would be awesome. I don't know who's attending, so I don't know what level of industry will be there, but right now my focus is on raising money for my documentary on global warming solutions. Al Gore told us global warming is all real, so we need to know what we do now. It's an optimistic film, not a scare you film. If I get the opportunity while I'm there, I'd like to talk with anyone who's interested about fundraising.
