+ Heard from Police Chief William Pittman that four new parking modifications downtown are going into effect to increase parking spaces. They include installation of trees along a portion of Centre Street so cars do not park on the sidewalk; reducing taxi parking by three spaces at Straight Wharf and New Whale Street and relocating a taxi zone to the area of Cap'n Tobey's to improve traffic flow; allowing one new parking spot on Federal Street; and, allowing a new parking space by the town building where the sheriff currently parks and providing him with another spot. In addition, the parking area on E. Chestnut Street by the police station will now be open for public use after 5 p.m.
