Plum TV Presents Harvest: Napa-Sonoma In the fall of 2006, Plum TV's intrepid camera crew of David Kuhn, Dan Honan, Mark Donato and Denis Toner traveled to Napa and Sonoma to undertake a survey of great wineries and restaurants, to be filmed in high-definition format. The flavor of this documentary changed dramatically when the Nantucket group's visit coincided with the release of the Michelin northern California restaurant rankings. As well as visiting prestigious wineries such as Far Niente, Jordan, Opus One, Failla, Limerick Lane, and Nickel & Nickel, Toner and crew managed to film in many of the Michelin-rated restaurants, such as The French Laundry (three stars), Cyrus (two stars), Bistro Jeanty (one star), and many other great restaurants. In addition, they chatted with members of some of Napa and Sonoma wine royalty, such as the Novak family from Spottswoode and Michael Mondavi. "We feel that this is Plum's finest effort so far, and will provide all the excitement expected of a film premiere," according to the Nantucket Wine Festival Web site. Many of the film's "stars" will be in attendance: Nick Peyton of Cyrus restaurant, Jed Steele of Steele Wines, Rob and Maria Sinskey of Robert Sinskey Wines, Scott McLeod of Rubicon Estate, Ehren Jordan of Failla Vineyards, Jack Bittner of Cliff Lede, Larry Maguire of Far Niente, Mike Brunson of Michel-Schlumberger, and Sean Capiaux of Capiaux Vineyards and O'Shaughnessy. Some of the wineries featured in the film will be pouring their wines. Kerrygold cheeses will be served by Molly O'Loughlin; $50 admission. Held at the Starlight in conjunction with the Nantucket Wine Festival. Call 228-1128 for tickets.
