MILESTONES
Ariana Costakes, a 2002 Graduate of Nantucket High School, was presented with an excellence award from the Department of Modern Languages at Brooklyn College, N.Y., for being top in her Spanish class specializing in Languages and Literature. Ariana is the daughter of Stacy & Tom Fusaro and Andy and Joanne Costakes and the granddaughter of Gene & Ellen Nora Toombs of Nantucket.

His grandparents are Lilian Esther Bonilla and Berta Luz Martinez of El Salvador. Mason Buckley Lower was born at Nantucket Cottage Hospital on May 10, 2007 weighing 8 pounds and 5 ounces. She is the daughter of Dave and Jami Lower and sister of Bailey Lower of Nantucket. Her grandparents are Scott and Kathy Toombs of New Canaan, Conn. and Nantucket, Anne Lower of Pittsburgh, Pa., and David and Maureen Lower of Pittsburgh, Pa. Her great-grandparents are Bill and Jean Toombs of State College, Pa., and Jean Williams of Fairless Hills, Pa.

Karlee Elisabeth Marean was born at Nantucket Cottage Hospital on May 11, 2007 weighing 7 pounds and 5 ounces. She is the daughter of Lacey Marean and Cody Peterson of Nantucket. Her grandparents are Sherri Marean and Beth Peterson of Nantucket. Her great-grandparents are Carl and Jane Marean of Standish, Maine, and Sabra Peterson of Nantucket. Her great-great-grandmother is Marjorie I. Poole of Standish, Maine. Mia Juliet Pereira Sosa was born at Nantucket Cottage Hospital on May 8, 2007 weighing 7 pounds and 10 ounces. She is the daughter of Rosenda Tatiana Sosa Serrano and Edgardo Pereira of Nantucket. Her grandparents are Maria C. Serrano of Nantucket and Lola Pereira of Los Angeles, Calif. Her great-grandparents are Maria Amalia Pena and Angela Arias of El Salvador.

Ethan Michael Watson was born at Nantucket Cottage Hospital on May 7, 2007 weighing 6 pounds and 13 ounces. He is the son of Michael and Carole Watson of Nantucket. His grandparents are Mark and Linda Watson of Sturbridge, Mass., and Preston and Mary Buckley of Nantucket. His great-grandparents are Nancy Laplante of Worcester, Mass., Yvonne Malcolm of Reading, Mass., and Edgar Watson of Clinton, Mass.
