IRON TEAMS RELAY DATE SET The 27th annual Iron Teams Relay will be held Sunday, June 3, and will benefit the Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Nantucket.

Tom First and Tom Scott are again presenting sponsors of the race, this time at the helm of their new endeavors since selling Nantucket Nectars, O Water and Plum TV.

"The Nantucket Iron Man was one of the first sponsorship programs we ever did at Nectars. It, in fact, preceded the first mass-produced bottle that we made," said Tom First. "It's a small secret, but we made T-shirts for the Iron Man before we ever ran a live production bottle in a bottling plant. Being connected to so many businesses on Nantucket through this event was very important to us for many years and I'm excited again to connect O Water to the island through an event that means a lot to me."

Both teams and individuals can participate in various categories of this six-leg race that includes beach and road running, a paddle, a swim and a 19-mile bike ride. The race will culminate at the Chicken Box with an after party and awards ceremony.

For participation information and registration, please see the Web site www.bbbsnantucket. org. Registration is due by 5/20/07, via mail or fax, or by 6/02/07 in person at the new Big Brothers Big Sisters office located at 2 Sanford Road. Brochures are available around town.

Volunteers and sponsors are urged to email Kerry Carven at mentor@nantucket.net.
