Softballers win again
Lady Whalers turn back Division 1 Falmouth

      Olivia Hull pitched a one-hitter and struck out eight Falmouth batters Sunday as the Lady Whalers improved to 8-0 on the season. Nantucket overturned Falmouth, 7-1, in what has almost become a rarity this year - a complete, 7-inning game.

Boys have late game surge against Cohasset

      Nantucket scored three goals and held defending Division 3 champion Cohasset scoreless in the final period at home Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately, the damage had already been done by that point, as Cohasset surged to an early lead in the contest and never relinquished it.

Soccer action aplenty over the weekend

      All eleven NSSA soccer teams were in action this past weekend, earning seven victories. Both U8 boys' teams soundly trounced their opponents. Though the teams are technically in boys' divisions, both have outstanding girls playing.

      With back-to-back victories over New England Christian Academy and Provincetown, the Whalers' baseball team took its 4-3 record to Mashpee Sunday, only to see its winning streak snapped in a tight contest won by Mashpee, 3-2.
