+ Heard an announcement from Health Inspector Richard Ray that beginning the week prior to Memorial Day weekend the health department will be testing water quality at most island bathing beaches on a monthly, rather than a weekly basis, because there have not been contamination issues documented for three years. Sesachacha Pond, Sconset Beach, 40th Pole and Children's and Washington Street beaches are not included in the new schedule because there have been minor, isolated contaminations within three years in those locations. "This is an experiment," said Ray. "If I feel I want to go back to weekly testing, I'll go back to weekly testing."
+ Heard a request from Ray that people eliminate yard containers that hold water because mosquito season is approaching.
