I ON THE COURT Nantucket District Court held an abbreviated session on Monday due to the onset of the Superior Court's spring, two-week session. In the district court, Eric A. Bistany, 33, of 77B Skyline Drive, was arraigned on a May 5 charge of assault and battery and had his case continued to June 25. Kristen Breault, 27, of Boston, Mass., had her probation extended 10 months while she completes restitution payments. She still owes $1,800 stemming from an April 2000 case. Kevin D. Burleson, 24, of 14 Essex Road, was arraigned on May 7 charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without a license and driving outside lanes and had his case continued to June 25. Charles M. Crosby, 44, of 4 Daffodil Lane, was arraigned on an April 30 charge of vandalizing property. His case was continued to June 25. Diane L. Downing, 55, of New Hampshire, was arraigned on an April 30 charge of assault and battery. Her case was continued to June 25. A warrant was held until 4 p.m. for Eric A. Griffin, 34, of Hyannis, Mass., charged Feb. 7 with wanton destruction of property over $250. Steven Lewis, 34, of 115 Pleasant St., was arraigned on a May 5 charge of cocaine possession with intent to distribute and was released on $750 bail until a hearing June 25. Rudi Mancia, 22, of 73 Old South Road, was arraigned on May 5 charges of driving without a license and equipment violations. The license charge will be dismissed with $300 court costs. Jose Neto, 52, of 16B Dave Kim Lane, was arraigned on May 6 charges of driving without a license and equipment violations. The license charge will be dismissed with $100 court costs. Kyle W. Paterson, 20, of 106 Surfside Road, was to be arraigned on an April 30 charge of driving with a suspended license but because he is in a treatment program the case was continued to May 29. David S. Pike, 26, of 111 Hummock Pond Road, was arraigned on April 30 charges of drug possession and driving with a suspended license and had the case continued to May 29. Michael J. Reid, 46, of 47 Boulevarde, was arraigned on a May 4 charge of driving with a suspended license. The charge will be dismissed with $100 court costs. Mauricio A. Rivas, 25, of 11 Macy Lane, had a status review on his April 30 charge of violating a restraining order. His bail was set at $2,500 and the case was continued to May 29. Roberto J. Tejada, 22, of 52 Cato Lane, had a status review on his Nov. 8, 2006 charges of three counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, three counts of leaving the scene of personal injury, assault with a dangerous weapon, reckless driving and leaving the scene of property damage. The charges were dismissed in district court. His case has been transferred and is the first one up on the superior court criminal docket. Cedric J. Wade, 25, of 24 Essex Road, was arraigned on May 4 charges of assault and battery and intimidating a witness. His bail was set at $1,000 and he was ordered to stay away from his alleged victim. The case was continued to June 25. In Nantucket Superior Court, a new grand jury was chosen but was not presented with requests for indictments during this session. The criminal docket for Nantucket Superior Court is as follows from Monday through today: Roberto J. Tejada, who was indicted earlier this year on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, leaving the scene of personal injury and death and negligent driving, pleaded not guilty at his arraignment and had his case continued for a September motion hearing. Brian S. Schweiger, indicted in 2006 on charges of assault and battery, violating a restraining order, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, intimidating a witness and resisting arrest. He was scheduled for a status review of his case. Mark J. Clinton, 39, indicted in 2006 on Feb. 16, 2006 charges of kidnapping, assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, stalking and threatening to commit a crime pleaded guilty to assault and battery and threatening to commit a crime (murder). He was given a two-year sentence with 17 months suspended and credit for seven months he wore an electronic bracelet monitor. He was placed on probation for two years. Jennifer L. Libardi, indicted in 2006 on charges of cocaine trafficking and drug possession. Her case was scheduled for a status review. Kenterio Williams, who was indicted in 2006 on charges of cocaine trafficking and drug possession. His case was continued to May 16 for a motion hearing. Nathan D. Collins, who was indicted in 2006 on charges of cocaine distribution and drug distribution. His case was scheduled for a pre-trial conference, but it was continued to tomorrow. Robert D. Brown, who was indicted in 2006 on Dec. 7, 2005 charges of cocaine distribution, pleaded guilty and was placed on probation for two years. He must attend drug counseling, had his license suspended for one year, must submit a DNA sample, must stay drug and alcohol free and must submit to random testing. Ronald Moore, who was indicted in 2006 on charges of larceny over $250, threatening to commit a crime and larceny from a building. His case was continued to Sept. 17 for possible disposition. Louise Murphy, indicted in 2006 on a charge of drug distribution. Her case was scheduled for a final probation surrender hearing, but because she is in compliance with the conditions of her probation the term will continue. Though he is not appearing in Nantucket Superior Court until his trial beginning June 4, Thomas E. Toolan III is on the docket because he has a scheduled judge's lobby conference in Barnstable when he is to meet with a doctor and his attorney Kevin Reddington. Reddington has said he will pursue an insanity defense for Toolan, charged with the murder of Elizabeth Lochtefeld on Oct. 25, 2004. He was indicted in 2005 and has been held without bail in the Barnstable House of Correction since his arrest the afternoon of the murder. Quintin L. Murphy, who was indicted in 2006 on charges of cocaine trafficking and drug distribution. His case was scheduled for a motion hearing. Ashley Ortiz, indicted in 2006 on a charge of cocaine trafficking. Her case was scheduled for a motion hearing. James A. Pike, who was indicted in 2006 on charges of cocaine trafficking, drug distribution and carrying a dangerous weapon. His case was scheduled for a hearing on a motion to suppress evidence.
