SSA OFFERS TICKET BOOKS FOR IYANOUGH The Steamship Authority has expanded ticket options for travel on their new high-speed passenger ferry. The high-speed ferry 10-ride passenger ticket book provides a $55.00 savings over purchasing tickets individually. In addition the books have no expiration date. The books are also transferable and save time at the ticket window.

"We're excited about giving our customers more options and flexibility," said Wayne Lamson, Steamship Authority General Manager. "Not only is our 10-ride book competitively priced but the transferability of passenger books and the elimination of an expiration date is a real plus. And the best part is the comfort and reliability of our new high-speed vessel."

As the newest member of the Steamship's fleet, the $9.7 million Iyanough was commissioned last month. In addition to being larger and more powerful than her predecessor, the state-of-the-art Iyanough also boasts the latest in passenger comfort and amenities, including free Wi-Fiaccess and flat panel LCD TV's. For schedule and complete fare information on the Iyanough and all of the Steamship Authority vessels, visit www.steamshipauthority.com or call 508-477-8600.

HOST A CHILD Here is an opportunity to share the beauty of the Nantucket community with others less fortunate: Volunteer for the Fresh Air Fund and host an innercity child. This summer join thousands of volunteer host families in 13 northeastern states and Canada as they open their homes to New York City children from underprivileged communities through the Fund's Friendly Town program.

The Friendly Town Program allows youngsters from New York City to experience simple summer pleasures like skipping rocks, smelling the ocean, taking a hike or going to the beach. Imagine summertime without swimming, playing in the yard or gazing at the stars. Since 1877, the Fresh Air Fund has provided more than 1.7 million inner-city children with the opportunity to enjoy these simple pleasures. Give the gift of simple summertime pleasures to more New York City children by volunteering to host for the Fresh Air Fund.

For more information on how you can make this summer special for a Fresh Air child (and your family) contact Nantucket's Friendly Town Chairperson, Patti Boynton at 325-6965, or call the Fresh Air Fund at 800-367-0003. You can also learn more at www.freshair.org.
