INTENT Would add one lot on Comeau Lane in 'Sconset to the 'Sconset Sewer District, 17 lots on Hummock Pond Road, and 33 lots on South Shore Road, Correia, Blueberry and South Pasture lanes, Folger and Field avenues and Cherry Street, respectively, to the town sewer district.

PRO The threat of pollution of the sole source aquifer, wetlands, ponds, the harbor, Nantucket Sound and the ocean could be reduced, as effluent from these properties would no longer be flowing into septic systems in the ground but out to the island's sewage treatment plants.

CON Bringing town sewer into areas now on septic systems can mean more development in these areas depending on which zoning districts the sewer is extended into.

FINANCE COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION Adopt 41 and 43. The Finance Committee will furnish a motion for Article 42 at Town Meeting.
