INTENT Creation of a harbor overlay zoning district for Nantucket Harbor's waterfront to keep water-related uses on the harbor.

PRO Would ensure that commercial and private water-related uses on the harbor could not be edged out by residential uses.

CON Residential property owners when adding on to or renovating structures or building new ones would be required to provide a public, waterrelated benefits on the first floor of their building. Residential, nonwater related uses would be prohibited from displacing water-related uses.
