From the s i d e l i n e s LITTLE LEAGUE CLINIC Nantucket Little League, in conjunction with the Dugout Dawgs from Hyannis, will be holding a free baseball clinic at the Delta Fields during school vacation week. All registered Little League baseball players, aged 7 to 12, are eligible to attend. The dates are April 16 to April 19 with Friday, April 20, designated as rain date. The clinic runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily and will provide instruction in hitting, fielding, catching and pitching. Attendance is limited to 30 players. Call Pam Lawrence at 325-8826 to register. MIACOMETS WIN, 5-1 Jenn Decker had 21 saves as Nantucket's Miacomets took on the Ice Breakers from Cape Cod Saturday and won, 5-1. Defenseman Shelly Jo Telvaccia scored her first ever goal in the contest. Other scoring included: Dee Healy; Bonnie Brooks, assisted by Muffin Kurash and Shelly Jo Telvaccia; and Brooke Bulmer with two goals, one off a scoring attempt by Telvaccia, and the second on a third period breakaway. The Miacomets will play in a tournament at Falmouth on April 13. The 5K (3.1 miles) run on paved roads over a mostly flat course, accurately wheel measured, with one hill and some moderate grades. Runners of all ability from beginners to veterans are welcome.
