Nantucket Bank is pleased to announce that Emmy Hamilton has returned to Nantucket Bank as Loan Operations Officer, reporting to Quint Waters. For the past 3 years, Emmy has been successfully managing loan operations for the First Brandon National Bank in Brandon, Vermont. Her prior position at Nantucket Bank was Residential Lending Officer. Bill Hourihan, president, commented, "We are always excited when we can attract someone to the bank with the specific experience we need. In Emmy's case, she also knows and loves Nantucket, is familiar with our products and our customers, and is committed to customer service." Emmy, her husband, Quin, and their new son, Charlie, are looking forward to enjoying island life once again. Emmy is a graduate of Lesley College.

+ + + The Nantucket Historical Association has hired Ema Hudson as Assistant to Special Events Manager Stacey W. Stuart. Hudson graduated from Syracuse University with a B.F.A. in art history; she joins the NHA with a strong background in organizational skills and event planning. Formerly employed as assistant director of marketing for the Downtown Committee of Syracuse, New York, Hudson, whose special interest is in art, orchestrated live-art demonstrations and interactive musical performances as well as overseeing the annual Arts & Crafts Festival, which attracts more than 50,000 visitors. Hudson will work closely with Stuart, who is responsible for organizing the NHA's larger fund-raising events, including the August Antiques Show and the Festival of Wreaths and Trees, among other events. "After interviewing numerous well-qualified candidates, we found that Ms. Hudson is the perfect match for this position," said Stuart. "We are so pleased to have her join our team; she exhibited such a professional and organized demeanor during her interview. I know she will be a great assistant, and I look forward to working with her on all our NHA events."

+ + + Nantucket Island Resorts has announced that Kathryn Kiernan has been hired as its new marketing director. Her experience in the retail industry and marketing on Nantucket and in New York City made her a desirable candidate. Most recently, she managed the Cashmere Shop on Centre Street. Kiernan will be working in the company's Zero Main Street office coordinating all of NIR's local and national marketing campaigns.

Miles River Beaudette was born at Nantucket Cottage Hospital on March 27, 2007 weighing 6 pounds and 6 ounces. He is the son of Richelle D'Elia Beaudette and Rick Beaudette of Nantucket. His grandparents are Richard and Nancy D'Elia of Shrewsbury, Mass., and Frank and Carol Beaudette of Glens Falls, N.Y. His great-grandparents are Mae Cummings of West Boylston, Mass., and Yolanda D'Elia of Worcester, Mass.

Sienna Laure Phillips was born at Nantucket Cottage Hospital on March 26, 2007 weighing 6 pounds and 11 ounces. She is the daughter of Greg and Angela Phillips of Nantucket. Her grandparents are Robert and Raelene Phillips of Fiskdale, Mass., and Dianna Nelson of Redding, Conn. Her great-grandmother is Marie Nelson of Brookfield, Mass.
