"Then We Came to the End"
          by Joshua Ferris
"Then We Came to the End" ($24) is a very funny account of the goings on in an advertising office. It is told in an unusual "we" narrative, so, as a reader, one gets the collective feel of the workers and how their cushy lives go from too much money, nice cars and job security to the cuts of the '90s and the resulting stress. We come to get to know the individuals and the many different ways they spend their "working" hours. I guess the best way to describe it would be Seinfeld at the office.

"Casino Royale"

(Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violent action,

a scene of torture, sexual

content and nudity.) In "Casino Royale" Daniel Craig plays Bond, James Bond, at the beginning of his 007 career. Bond has just been promoted through the ranks of British intelligence and is sent off on his first mission as an 00. Tracking a terrorist cell around the world, Bond fails to impress "M" (Judi Dench). In order to prove his worth, Bond decides to go after the source of the terrorists' money by taking down a corrupt banker in a high-stakes poker game at the Casino Royale. Leaving the Bond campiness behind, "Casino Royale" is a gritty action thriller that injects new blood into this long running series.
