Davidson comes up big
Miacomets take consolation in Walpole
The Miacomets women's hockey team went 1-2-1 in a tournament at Walpole over the weekend with Beth Davidson scoring in all four games.

Davidson scored the lone goal on an assist from Bonnie Brooks-Lema during Friday night's game against the Cape Cod Stars, who took the game 4-1.

On Saturday, the Miacomets got behind the stellar goaltending of Shelley Jo Rowell to tie Walpole, 1-1, with Davidson again scoring for Nantucket.

The Cape Cod Hurricanes came out strong in the Saturday nightcap, scoring 3 goals in the game's first 3 minutes. The Miacomets shut down the Hurricanes from there, however, but were limited to a single goal by Davidson.

On Sunday, the Miacomets won the consolation game against Walpole, 3-0, with Davidson, Kate Merlini and Brooke Bulmer scoring for Nantucket, and Rowell earning

the shutout in net. I
