LITTLE LEAGUE REGISTRATION Nantucket Little League will hold registration for the spring season on Tuesday, Jan. 30, and Tuesday, Feb. 6, in the elementary school lobby from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Registrants much provide a copy of their birth certificate and a fee of $20.

New this season is Tee Ball for players aged 5 to 6 and Junior League baseball for players aged 13 to 15. Baseball and softball are available to those aged 7 to 12. Eligibility dates are:

+ Tee Ball: born between May 1, 2000

and April 30, 2002 + Baseball: born between May 1, 1994

and April 30, 2000 + Softball: born between January 1,

1994 and December 31, 1999 + Junior: born between May 1, 1991

and April 30, 1994

Tee ball will begin in May and run for four weeks. Baseball and softball will begin practices in April. Games begin in May and the season is scheduled to run through the third week in June. Runners meet Saturdays rain or shine at 8:45 a.m. at the corner of Beach and Easton streets for a 9 a.m. start. The 5K (3.1 miles) run is on paved roads over a mostly flat course that is accurately wheel measured, with one hill and some moderate grades. Runners of all ability from beginners to veterans are welcome. There are no entry fees. For information call (508) 228-0206.
