Girls and boys JV hoopsters win
Both the boys' and girls' junior varsity basketball squads were victorious at home Saturday. The boys defeated Sturgis, 46-37, and the girls overcame Norfolk Aggie, 34-11.

Scoring for the boys were Chris Welch with 14 points, Troy Sullivan with 12, Rasheed Smith with 8, Carl Stevens with 6, Ed Coffin and Nigel Koester with 2 and Jamie Viera and Curran Huyser with 1.
"We've got some talent," said coach Dennis Caron. "We're coming along."
Girls' JV coach Missy Dee also praised her squad. "I'm very comfortable subbing people in and out," she said. "They're all very coachable kids."
Scoring were: Bianca Brown with 8 points, Ashley Clinger and Taylor Murphy with 6 points, Lia Newman, Morgan Dugan and Grace Anne Tornovish with 4 points, and Molly Madden with 2 points.
