COMMUNITY FOUNDATION RECEIVES $20,000 DONATION The Community Foundation for Nantucket has received a grant of $20,000 from the Reinberger Foundation. The grant, spread over two years, is for the Administrative Endowment Fund, to be used to help fund the costs of getting the Community Foundation up and operating.

Peggy Gifford, president of the board of the Community Foundation for Nantucket, said, "We are delighted to accept this major contribution to the Community Foundation. Our goal is to make it easy to care for Nantucket's nonprofits through our permanent endowment fund, but we also need donations like this one to operate. The Community Foundation of Cape Cod just received a bequest of $500,000 to be used in the support of nine different Cape Cod nonprofits. This is a good example of how the Community Foundation of Nantucket can become a major resource for our nonprofits. We hope everyone will join in building our own Community Foundation. "

For more information on the Community Foundation for Nantucket, contact Bob Felch, development committee chairman, at 508-825-9993, or see www.cfnan.com.
