Nantucket Court Report
      In Monday's District Court session, the probation for James G. Bailey, of Nantucket, was terminated. Bailey was placed on probation for a 2003 drug possession charge and had a 2005 charge of drug possession continued without a finding, which is a probationary period.

Shaw family, airport strike a deal, finally
Clear deed to be delivered before New Year
      Aproperty ownership dispute between the town's Airport Commission and 58 Madequecham Valley Road resident Eric Shaw has taken eight months since last year's Town Meeting to resolve, but the land battle is finally over. While the resolution is not an outright gift to the Shaws, it comes in time to be a Christmas present of sorts.

Selectmen can help preserve the former Coffin land near Nantucket Golf Club tonight
      Phillips Run Road, a six-lot cluster subdivision just west of Nantucket Golf Club that was approved by the Planning Board in December 2002, is now free of legal entanglements and can be developed, although no plan is imminent.

BEIN-PITTMAN EXCHANGE VOWS
      Allen "Kent" Bein and Dianne Gove Pittman were married November 24, 2007, in a candlelight service, at the First Congregational Church on Nantucket. Senior Minister Joy Baumgartner officiated the service. Following the wedding, a reception was held at the church.
