The following My View is in response to October 3, 2007 Nantucket Independent article "Voices Away from the Bluff" featuring John Seidel. Many of the statements made by Mr. Seidel included inaccuracies that I would like to address. More ... Her name is Tijana and she is from Serbia. This is a story in sequels about her trip to Nantucket. Nobody knows how it is going to end, not even she. Sequel 6 Iam lucky that where I work and where I live is one and the same. But I would really like to know: do my employers feel the same way about it? Lets observe "the boss-employees" relationship. More ... To the editor: I am one of many supporters of the Siasconset Beach Preservation Fund efforts who does not live near the 'Sconset bluff and has not got deep pockets. As a Nantucket resident, I am deeply appreciative of the efforts SBPF is making on behalf of all of us. More ... To the editor: I concur with the statement that "Fishermen are more upset than ever with the latest beach nourishment info." Not only as a fisherman, but as a resident of Quidnet for more than 34 years. I join many, many Nantucketers, both native and seasonal, who are also "a little bit upset" by this proposal. It is not just the fishermen who are concerned. More ... To the editor: More than 400 people attended the fourth annual Scallopers Ball on Friday evening. This record turnout shows that not only do people like a good party but, more importantly, they are concerned about the well-being of Nantucket's harbors and its shellfish.
