SSA BOARD ACCEPTS UNION CONTRACT The Steamship Authority board voted unanimously to approve a new union contract for its unlicensed deck hand employees in a special executive session last Friday. The two-year contract comes after four years of negotiations and delineates working conditions for approximately 220 people, the ferry line's largest bargaining unit. More ... SAND TIGER SHARK ALERT In addition to hooking seals, bluefish or striped bass at Great Point this summer, it's quite possible that you may sink your pearl bomber or ballistic missile into a sand tiger shark that hunts for food within casting distance of surf fishermen along the shores of the Cape and Islands.
