There was jubilation after Sunday's extra inning victory over Provincetown (above ~ see story page 34), but the Lady Whalers' record-breaking season ended yesterday at Taunton, where they fell, 7-1, to Diman VoTech in the semi-finals of the state tournament. Diman led, 3-0, early, and although Nantucket had its share of baserunners, two Diman double plays were heartbreakers. "Diman played great defensively," assistant coach Bill Ciarmataro said.
