I’m not the biggest John Mayer fan, but I will admit that the softrocker pulled off one of the funniest acts of internet punditry this year when he went to MyHeritage.com to test the site’s facialscanning “Find the Celebrity in You” feature — which has been a favorite of the Internet technoscenti this year. If you want to try it, all you need to do is go to the MyHeritage website, click on the “Face Recognition – Find the Celebrity in You” icon, and upload a picture of yourself (full faced, like this picture of a thinner me) off your desktop the same way you would upload a file to an e-mail. Give it a minute, and the computer will generate a list of celebrity mugs that best match yours. Just keep in mind that John Mayer found out that his photo bore a 72 percent likeness to Jessica Lange, and a 68 percent likeness to himself. (Google “John Mayer Jessica Lange” to see his results.)
