I ON SELECTMEN
AT ITS MEETING TONIGHT, NOV. 29, THE BOARD OF SELECTMEN WILL:

DougBennett
• Hear a request from Nantucket Homes for People seeking a building permit in advance of its sewer permit.

• Make appointments to open seats on the Commission on Disability, Conservation Commission, Council of Human Services and representative to the Steamship Authority.

• Learn of a coastal pollution remediation grant of $125,000 to the town for its Consue Springs project.

• Hear an informational overview on the process of gasification at the landfill from the town's engineering firm of Camp, Dresser and McKee. Waste Options, the landfill operator, is also preparing a presentation for a future date.

• Hear a review of the preliminary FY08 general fund budget.

CONVENING AS THE BOARD OF HEALTH, MEMBERS WILL:

• Hear concerns from the public.

• Hear a presentation and have preliminary discussion of new long-term rental regulations (See related story page 11).

• Hear a discussion about flu season awareness.
