GET THEE TO AMERICA
Just in time for Thanksgiving, third-graders in the Nantucket Elementary School

have been learning about the Mayflower and her 1620 voyage westward across

the Atlantic. That course of study culminated last week with two performances of

"A Journey to the New World." Above, Morgan Sayle (left) and Gianda Wallace play, respectively, the roles of Mother Abigail and Mother Prudence. The short presentation was written over a decade ago by the late Sandy Whitehead, whose children's plays

appeared on the stage at the 'Sconset Casino. The curtain will go up for one

final performance on Dec. 8 in the Red Cluster at NES.
