Golfers can't advance
BY STEVE SHEPPARD
"Iwas ecstatic with the opportunity to play in this sectional

tournament," coach Michael Horton said yesterday. "because just getting there was a great accomplishment for this team. Many people figured us to be right around .500 this year, but we were Lighthouse League champions."

Patrick Wynn led Nantucket golfers by shooting an 89 for 18 holes. Riley Wynn and Kevin Withrow shot 91; Harry Robishaw had a 92; Amanda Levy shot 101 (from the

men's tees); Henry Toole shot 102. "All scores were a little high, due to very slick, fast and tricky greens," Horton noted. "I was extremely pleased with Riley Wynn and Kevin Withrow shooting below their season average."

Overall, the Nantucket team shot 363. The leading schools were

Seekonk (327); Old Rochester (335); Chatham (348); and Harwich (355). Nantucket summer resident Brandon Walker led his Chatham team with an 81.

Devon Crowley, whose Rockland team didn't qualify, played as an individual and was the overall medalist with a four over par round of 75.
