Nantucket students earn scholar honors
Four Nantucket High School graduates of the class of 2006 have earned the designation AP Scholar by the College Board in recognition of their achievements on the college-level Advanced Placement Program exams. Brent Davey, Rachel Schneider, Abigail Sossen and Samantha Tennant achieved grades of 3 or higher on at least three AP exams. The students took the exams last May after completing challenging college-level courses.

Most of the nation's colleges and universities award credit, advanced placement, or both based on successful performance on the AP exams.

All four students are attending colleges. Brent Davey is at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute; Rachel Schnieder is at Sarah Lawrence College; Abigail Sossen is at Brandeis University; and Samantha Tennant is at Dickinson College.
