I ON THE COURT Christopher Metcalfe, 53, of 2 Morgan Square, who has been an island resident for 22 years, is also under investigation as a person possibly connected with other vehicle arsons which occurred at random times within the last two years. Metcalfe was seen in the Washington Street town parking lot by a witness on the night of Oct. 4 when firemen responded to a car fire that nearly totalled Fronzuto's 2007 Ford Sport Trac pick-up he had purchased about two weeks earlier. Police also examined video footage from area surveillance cameras. The truck was a personal, rather than official vehicle. Metcalfe was charged with nighttime breaking and entering in a motor vehicle with intent to commit a felony, larceny under $250 and burning a motor vehicle. His case was continued to Oct. 30 for pre-trial hearing. A woman charged with assault with a dangerous weapon - a car - who by witness accounts is alleged to have backed up her Jeep at high speed to strike her ex-husband in the knees, was bailed out by that man who expressed concern to the court that his former wife and her 10-year-old son must have a place to stay together. Karen Y. Hurst, 43, would have been transported to the Barnstable House of Correction on Monday for inability to pay a $500 cash bail if her victim, John J. Kozlowski, 44, of 10B Mary Ann Drive, had not offered help. She was charged on Oct. 16 after neighbors called police about a domestic situation and described Hurst's actions. According to police records, she has a history of court defaults in other towns. Her case was continued to Nov. 13 and she was ordered to stay away from her victim. Kozlowski subsequently had a Sept. 10, 2005 charge of assault and battery dismissed. Stefan V. Babov, 24, formerly of 118 Somerset Road but who has returned to Bulgaria, had a warrant issued for his arrest because he still owes the court $252. He was charged Sept. 18, 2005 with negligent operation of a vehicle. Carrie E. Bianchi, 30, of 111 Hummock Pond Road, had her case continued to Dec. 4 for a jury trial. She was charged July 4 with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving outside marked lanes. Mark Bishop, 40, of 10 Nobadeer Way, had his case dismissed after paying due fees. He was charged Sept. 20, 2005 with assault and battery. Andre Bovan, 20, of 68 Orange St., had his case continued for pre-trial and probation violation hearings on Nov. 13. A Sept. 24 charge of receiving stolen property triggered the violation from probation on May 23 charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Alicia M. Bradford, 50, of 128 Main St., had her case dismissed after paying due fees. She was charged Aug. 17, 2005 with negligent driving. Lindsey Butler, 60, of 12 Atlantic Avenue, admitted to driving under the influence of alcohol on July 12. The charge was continued for one year without a finding, he must take a driver alcohol education program and had his license suspended for 45 days. Acharge of negligent driving was dismissed and he was found not responsible for failing to stop or yield. Joseph E. Calio, 39, of 77 Irving Place, had his case dismissed after paying due fees. He was charged May 28 with drug possession. Michal Certek had his case continued to Oct. 30. He was charged Oct. 15 with driving without a license and speeding. Andrew J. Chuplis, 19, of Winter Park, Fla., had his arraignment continued to Oct. 30. He was charged Aug. 11 with larceny over $250, delivering liquor to a minor and being a minor possessing alcohol. Jared Chadwick had his case continued to Oct. 30. He was charged on Oct. 16 with violating a restraining order. Mark Clinton, 38, of Wareham, had his case continued to Nov. 15. He was charged on March 21 with drug possession with intent to distribute and on Aug. 13 with intimidating a witness and violating a restraining order. A warrant was to issue for Andrew J. Darbey, 38, of 72A Old South Road, charged Oct. 7 with marijuana possession and possessing an open container of alcohol in a vehicle. Awarrant was to issue for Reinaldo P. DeOliveira, 26, of 16 Vesper Lane, who still owes the court $100 stemming from his Oct. 7 charge of driving without a license. Joseph Finnerty, 35, will have his case dismissed with $100 court costs. He was charged with a bylaw violation. Daniel Franklin, Jr., 31, of 1A Manchester Circle, will have a July 13 charge of driving an uninsured vehicle dismissed with $100 court costs. He was found not responsible for not possesssing his license or registration. Stephen Franklin had his case continued to Nov. 6. He was charged with driving an uninsured vehicle with a suspended license while under the influence of alcohol. Sean D. Genova, 30, of West Palm Beach, Fla., admitted to driving under the influence of alcohol on Aug. 14. He had his case continued one year without a finding, must take the driver alcohol program and had his license suspended for 45 days. He was found not responsible for driv- ing outside marked lanes. Brian O. Grant, 22, of Canton, Mass., admitted to driving under the influence of alcohol on July 30. He was found guilty, placed on probation for 18 months, and, as a second offender, must attend a 14-day in-patient treatment program. He was found guilty for failing to stop or yield and responsible for driving outside marked lanes. Both charges were filed. Edwar M. Hawkins, 22, of Macy's Lane, had his case continued to Nov. 27. He is charged with a probation violation stemming from a Nov. 26, 2005 charge of marijuana possession. Gregory Huber, 22, of Winchester, Mass., had his case continued to Nov. 27. He was charged Aug. 1 with driving without a license. Adam Jenkins, 17, of 6 Pine Grove Drive, had his case continued to Oct. 30. He was charged on Sept. 24 with receiving stolen property, but there may be other charges pending. He was being held on $750 cash bail. Nathan Johnson, 24, of Athens, Maine, will have a Sept. 1 charge of driving with a suspended license dismissed with $100 court costs. He was found not responsible for a lights violation. Mark Lessor, 36, of Salem, Mass., had an April 23 charge of possessing a hypodermic needle dismissed, and a charge of heroin possession on that date was continued for a hearing on Nov. 27. Dwyer Maloney, 45, of 12 Flintrock Road, had a probation violation notice withdrawn and a Sept. 22, 2005 charge of negligent driving dismissed. Densil McIntosh, 28, of 52 Essex Road, will have a June 27 charge of driving without a license dismissed with $100 court costs. He was found not responsible for failing to wear a seat belt. Larry Mote had his case continued to Dec. 4. He was charged Oct. 11 with possession of cocaine. Jose Neto will have a charge of driving without a license dismissed with $100 court costs. Shawn R. Newton, 22, of Ware, Mass., paid all fees, completed the driver alcohol program and had his May 12, 2005 charge of driving under the influence of alcohol dismissed. Jonathan D. Nile, 33, of 19B Waydale Road, had a probation violation notice withdrawn and his case was continued to December. He was charged Sept. 13 with drug possession. Awarrant was to issue for Philip R. O'Connell, 49, of Dorchester, Mass., who still owes the court for fees levied from his July 5 charge of disorderly conduct. A probation violation was withdrawn for Maurice G. Ortiz, 25, of 6 Pine Grove Road. April 9, 2005 charges of drug possession and larceny over $250 triggered the violation notice. Jared W. Parsons, 32, of 3 Swayze Drive, had his case continued to Nov. 13. He was charged Sept. 2 with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving outside the right lane and having an open container of alcohol in a vehicle. David S. Pike, 26, of 4 Hull Lane, admitted to cocaine possession on Sept. 5, 2005 and had his case continued one year without a finding. He must remain drug and alcohol free and submit to random testing and have counseling as needed. Leonardo Rodrigo, 23, of 72 Union St., paid all fees and had his case dismissed. He was charged Aug. 9 with driving without a license. Sorasak Santikulanont, 34, of Nantucket, had a Sept. 1 charge of assault and battery dismissed. Aprobation violation notice was withdrawn. William J. Sarnie, 43, of 3 Todd Circle, had two June 13 counts of assault and battery dismissed. A charge of marijuana possession will be dismissed with $100 court costs, but after he admitted to cocaine possession on that date that case was continued without a finding for one year. He must remain alcohol and drug free and submit to random testing. David I. Smith had his case continued to Nov. 13. He was charged Oct. 13 with trespassing, assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Kristin E. Sullo, 28, of 25 Bartlett Farm Road, paid due court fees and had her case dismissed. She was charged August 17, 2005 with negligent driving. Aprobation violation was withdrawn. Wayne R. Taylor, 31, of 9 Daffodil Lane, had his probation extended until Dec. 11 while he completes a driver alcohol education program. He was charged on Oct. 1, 2004 with driving under the influence of alcohol and drug possession. Symanthia N. Toy, 28, of Nantucket, admitted to possessing a small amount of cocaine on Aug. 10 and had that charge continued without a finding for one year, during which time she must stay drug and alcohol free and submit to testing. A charge of marijuana possession was dismissed. Paul D. Waggoner, 27, of 6 New St., had an Aug. 4 charge of intimidating a witness dismissed. A warrant was to issue for Alex A.
