I ON SELECTMEN
AT ITS OCT. 4 MEETING, THE BOARD OF SELECTMEN:
+ Announced the ability of taxpayers to pay 2007 real estate and personal property taxes online through a link on the Town of Nantucket's Web site. (www.nantucket-ma.gov).

+ Voted unanimously to send a letter of thanks to Sheri Hunt for her services on the Council for Human Services.

+ Voted unanimously to designate October as Domestic Violence Prevention Month

+ Voted unanimously to refer the proposed preservation restriction to be held by the Historic District Commission on the Star of the Sea Youth Hostel to town counsel for review.

+ Voted unanimously to grant a waiver of the $2,000 sewer connection fee to Yvette St Jean in exchange for St. Jean's granting to the town ownership of the sewer main which she installed to her 33 First Way property in 2001.

+ Voted unanimously to adopt the warrant for the November 21 special town election.

AT ITS OCT. 11 MEETING, THE BOARD OF SELECTMEN WILL

+ Announce that citizen petitions for the 2007 Annual Town Meeting Warrant will be accepted from October 16 - November 16, 2006
