Citing an increase in popularity in the league, officials from the men's wooden bat baseball league held a try-out at Tom Nevers Field on Sunday afternoon. It was only the second such audition that the league has held in its five years of existence, but was designed to attract and accommodate new members, teams and sponsors to the evening rec league. "We just wanted to give anyone interested an opportunity to come and try out," said league representative Nate Barber. The league is set to begin anew in July and is still looking for players and team sponsors. More ...
