Stroller Strides

Let’s get outside and do some walking together! Participants will meet each week at the parking lot at Surfside Beach with your child(ren) and stroller. We will be walking along Surfside Road bike path. Each person can set his/her own pace and walk as far as they feel comfortable. Come walk and talk! Dress according to the weather. Sandy Toes

Come join us at Children’s Beach each week for circle time, sandcastles, shell collecting, a playground “romp” and a splash in the ocean. The Nantucket Historical Association’s four historic sites, Hadwen House, Oldest House, Old Mill, and Quaker Meeting House are open to visitors, on Thursdays through Mondays. 90 minute walking tours of historic downtown Nantucket are also available. Pre-registration for the tours is necessary. Inquire at 15 Broad Street, 1st floor.

The Fundamentals of Safe Boating

A course given by the Nantucket Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 11-7, covers federal and state boating regulations, boating equipment, the buoyage system, boat handling, VHF radio, navigation rules and marlin spikemanship. Leads to a state boat operators license. Tuesdays through May 31. Ages 12 and up. Nantucket High School Large Group Instruction Room. Fee: $50. Space limited.
